Club History
The club was formed in 1926 as a result of teachers and students from the Geelong College and Geelong Grammar forming a football team to play in the Victorian Amateur Football Association. Hence the green ( College ) and light blue ( Grammar ) colours and the Pegasus Logo of the club.
From its’ humble beginnings at Corio oval the club moved to its’ current home at Queens Park in 1957. The club shared an old weatherboard clubroom ( now long gone ) with the Queens Park Golf Club.
The club predominantly played in A & B grade competition from 1926 until 1982, with a five year break for WW11.
Senior premierships came in 1931, 1953, 1966, 1972, and 1985.
The clubs only reserves grade premiership while in the V.A.F.A. came in the C grade division in 1980.
Playing in the V.A.F.A. meant travelling to Melbourne every fortnight, and eventually, in 1983, the club opted to leave this league and join the Geelong and District Football League, where all games were played locally.
Success came in 1985 when the club won the Division 1 G.&D.F.L. premiership and was elevated to the Geelong Football League. Unfortunately the club was unable to sustain the level required and, in 1988, slipped back into the Geelong and District Football League.
The club experienced a period of troubled times over the next few years and, after much soul searching and survival meetings, the club joined the Bellarine Football League in 1995 and has remained there until this day.
