Registrations for the clubs senior and junior netball section will take place at our Queens Park clubrooms on Sunday 25th March from 9.00am till 11.00am. All netballers, current or new , are invited to join the club for season 2012.

U/18′s take to the track

More than forty players attended the Ammos first U/18 training session for2012 held on Thursday 2/2/2012. Coach Mark West put the squad through some testing training drills that were sure to leave the boys questioning their fitness levels. Mark was extremely happy with the turnout of players and confident that they would produce good results in the upcoming grading games.

This year the U/18 competition has , for the first time, been structured to ensure that all teams compete against other teams of a similar level. The A Grade, B Grade, and C Grade structure gives every u/18 side in the region a chance to show that it is the best side going around.

The first four games of the season will be ‘Grading games’. This means that every sides performances in these matches will be assessed and they will then be placed in the level deemed to be appropriate. i.e. A, B, or C grade.

If you are under eighteen and looking to play football in season 2012 our U/18 squad trains every Tuesday and Thursday nights at our Queens Park grounds from 5.45pm

Please note that all fees are inclusive of GST.

Family Package 1 – $330.00 ( Includes 3 or more children up to U/19 and 2 non-playing adults )

Family Package 2 – $275.00 ( Includes 2 children up to U/19 and 2 non-playing adults )

Youth Player – $165.00 ( U/13 to U/19 )

Junior Player – $150.00 ( U/9 to U/12 )

Auskick – $63.00 ( Includes Auskick players pack )

Senior Football Player – $265.00

Senior Netball Player – $265.00

Junior Netball Players – $165.00

FAQ. How do I determine what age grouping my child will be in?

Answer: Your childs age is taken as at midnight 31st December 2011.

Example: If your child is still 9 years of age at this time then they will be placed in the U/10 grouping for season 2012

2012 Junior Football Registration Day

The Geelong Amateur Football and Netball Clubs junior football registration day will take place at our Queens Park clubrooms on Sunday the 4th of March from 9.00am until 11.00am. All current and new junior players in age groups U/9, U/10, U/11, U/12, U/14, and U/16 are invited to register their interest in being a part of the club for season 2012. Fee structures and form downloads will be posted as soon as they come to hand.

Senior and Junior Netball Training Dates

Sports Kinesiologist joins Ammos

Ammos new recruit Andrew Burchell will not only bring his football skills to Queens Park in 2012 but will also bring with him new methods and approaches to modern day sports preparation, application, and recovery. Andrew will take on the new position as the senior squads ‘high performance coach’ as an assistant to senior coach Tim Clark.
Recruited from Beaufort, Andrew has had experience in the VFL and was a VCFL representative player in 2011.
Andrew has recently opened his own Sports Kinesiology practice at 20 Mount Duneed Road – 0412 348 454.

A six goal burst in the first quarter set up what was to be a great grand final victory for our clubs under eighteen team. Led by a best on ground performance by Mason Wood and four goals from George Chisholm the side showed its’ dominance for the majority of the game.

Torquay challenged midway through the last quarter and reduced the lead to just 12 points before the Ammos side steadied and took back control of the game. Some inspirational tackling by Ammos defender Mathew Cramp broke down Torquays late charge and helped ensure his teams final victory.

Final scores . Geelong Amateur 11-8- 74

Torquay 6-15-51
