Angelo Kakouros Deakin ward candidate announced that if elected on March 5th, 2011 to the City of Greater Geelong Council he would lobby Council for funding to build new change rooms for Geelong Amateur Netball Club at Queens Park.

“I support to help deliver these much needed facilities for our community and the project has been identified as a priority by the Geelong Amateur Football and Netball Club”, Mr Kakouros said.

Geelong Amateur Netball Club has outgrown the 10 year old small Atco Hut and it’s now time for a permanent building to include a kitchen and storage for the community.

“Netball is a fantastic sport and the facility is essential for our growing community”, said Mr Kakouros.

Mr Kakouros has demonstrated over 20 years of strong interest in the community and will make a wide range of sporting and leisure opportunities available to local residents.

“With your help if elected, I will work hard to advocate delivery of more infrastructure projects for all Geelong residents and my support for the development at Queens Park is a sign of things to come”, said Mr Kakouros

End of statement.

Mr Kakouros’s media release to pledge support for The Geelong Amateur and Netball Clubs new netball facilities is aligned with fellow Deakin Ward candidate, Mr Ron Nelson, who has also committed to the much needed infrastructure at Queens Park.

We wish both candidates good luck in the upcoming election.
